Probably the best shakshuka I've had so far, and with plenty of pitta on the side too - most restaurants only give you a couple of slices and you end up finishing the bread way before you're done with the meal. Friendly service and nice warming coffee! Will come back!
We were a group from Germany and we enjoyed every day at this place. The prices are great and fair, the amount of food is awesome and the quality and taste is better than expected. We had to take a picture with (I guess) the owner because he took really good care of us and also spoke a bit in german with us. Funny dude. We can definitely recommend this place! Hopefully see you soon again!
A fantastic cafe with a friendly staff. The smooth latte was strong and delicious. The shop is spacious with loads of tastefully presented cakes to sample. Stopped here by chance as I was desperate for a drink and I'd noticed I could park near the parade for free. Would do it again the next time I'm passing by. No question.
I ordered food from this place loads of time, most recently at the end of august. My favourite dish is the schnitzel chibata. It always came with salad and tortilla chips. I just ordered the same dish again and received the worst food I ever experienced in my life. It came with chips and the schnitzel was burnt to hell, the salad in the sandwich was off and the ciabatta was old too. And the side salad and tortilla didn’t come at all. Also got fish fingers that came from the freezer from the 19th century. Seems like there is a new chef that ruined all the food. Real shame as I used to love this place. Oh well. Need to look for something else I guess. Also it’s incredibly over priced for what the new quality of food is.
One of the VERY BEST coffee shops that I have ever been to in London. (I've been coming and living here sporadically since 2007). The food is EXCELLENT. It is genuinely cooked with nothing but the healthiest ingredients (truly fresh and delicious vegetables, olive oil, eggs, smoked salmon, and so on). This is one of the first places I've ever come to where I learned that the shakshuka is made exclusively with real olive oil instead of other harmful vegetable oils that 99.99% of restaurants use. That philosophy really seems to go into every other aspect of the food. I wasn't lucky enough to try a pastry this visit but they all looked and smelled beyond delicious -- particularly the Victoria Sponge Bake! The owner is a genuinely kind and modest man -- and he actually cares about his customers. I saw him today working very hard even on a bank holidays weekend. No corners were cut; it's not all about the money at this place. The cafe itself (including the bathroom) was immaculately clean. I think I've also rare a friendlier cafe owner in the UK. If you want to support local businesses in London (God there are so few of them...), this cafe is exactly what you should support. Hope to return soon!
